There are four ways to listen to this station:

  1. On an old radio
  2. On an internet radio
  3. Via this website
  4. Via other providers and apps

1. On an old radio

Yes, the medium wave. It’s back in Twente. To tune in, you’ll need a radio with a frequency band labelled MW, MG or AM. Turn the tuning dial until you reach 1008 kHz, and voilà, there’s Radio Twente Gold. Broadcast throughout Twente from our studio in Hengelo.

2. On an internet radio

Very modern and widely available these days. And if you have Wi-Fi, you can listen to Radio Twente Gold. Simply look for the station in the station list, select it and enjoy.

3. Via this website

For the best quality, there are now streams available online. It’s simple: click on the text at the top of the page, then click the play button, and you’ll hear Radio Twente Gold in studio quality.

4. Via other providers and apps

I have no control over who relays the signal, but one of the other options is to listen via the receiver installed at the University of Twente in Enschede. It picks up the radio signal from the airwaves and distributes it via the internet. Go to Wide-band WebSDR in Enschede, the Netherlands and enter the frequency 1008 in the box next to ‘kHz’. Press Enter. Click the AM button. Tick the Noise Reduction box. And there it is: Radio Twente Gold, with that nostalgic medium-wave sound. Just like in the old days.

Yes, Radio Twente Gold has the same frequency as some other stations, but we are not bothered by that.
